Let x be the number of original shares

For x shares dividend received is 160
So, for x+12 shares dividend will be, 160 + 15 = 175

Now,
Shares Dividend

x 160
x+12 175

Cross multiplying,

160(x+12) = 175x
15x = 1920
x = 128

Ans A.

Here is a simple way to get to the ans.

divident on 12 shares is 15
so divident on X shares is 160

X = 12*160/15 ans is 128

simple cross multiplication.
