The ratio of the number of women to the number of men to the number of children in a room is
5:2:7, respectively. What is the total number of people in the room?
(1) The total number of women and children in the room is 12.
(2) There are fewer than 4 men in the room.

Ans should be D

Question says Out of 14 (5+2+7) people there are 12 women and children

Stmt 1 - there are 12 women and children so total no of people = 14

Stmt 2 - no of men < 4. To satisfy the ration of 5:2:7 no of men has to be 2. Again total no of people = 12
