Whenever you come across like, unlike and other words used for comparison, be aware that same things are to be compared. so people must be compared with people and candidacy with candidacy.

a. compares George wallace and john with candidacy of H Ross
b. same as A
c. same as A
d. same as A
e. compares candidacies with candidacies

Answer should be E.
Option A: Wrong comparison of George Wallace and John Anderson with Independent run. - Wrong
B,C are also wrong for the same reason.
D also does the same wrong comparison but in a reverse manner. compares independent candidates with george and john.

E correctly compares the candidacies of all the three members.
