x^2 + 3x + c = (x + a)(x + b) = x^2+ (a+b)x +ab

comparing the coefficients

a+b = 3 -----(1)
ab = c -------(2)

1. a =1 ; using (1) b =2
c = ab = 2
Sufficient

2. b =2 using (1) a =1
c = ab = 2
Sufficient
