The figure for this question would be as attached. Thus, the y co-ordinate would be -6

hi altime,

area is 12 means 1/2 * x* y= 12 --->>> x*y= 24 (Dont have question like why area should be -ve??? because we will take the no of units from orgin , not the nuemeric values)

we have x as 4 y should be either 6 or -6

Since it has a positive slope it will pass through first and 3rd quadrant.

so Answer is -6
