Is the range of the integers 4, 7, x, 6, 5, y greater than 9 ?
(1) y > x2
(2) 3 < x < y

I thought that the options are not sufficient to answer.
forum members please help me with elaborate answers.

Range=Largest-Smallest

stmt1,

y>x^2

x=3,y=13,Range>9

x=3,y=10,Range<9

Insuff

stmt2,

3<x<y

x=4,y=14,Range>9

x=4,y=9,Range<9

Insuff

combining 1 and 2,

x>3

y>x and y>x^2.

Take the least integer x=4

y>16 satisfy both equations.

4,4,5,6,7,17.Range>9

Whatever value of x,Range surely ll be greater than 9.
