In C, there is no link between the restaurant company and the new restaurants. In this sentence, the restaurant company manages multiple restaurants (including the newly added restaurants). It's like Taj Group of hotels managing many hotels under it across India.

Also, in C, the tense is not parallel. "many new restaurants have recently been opened .. and its sales increased..".
