Goal 650 in a Month - Current 550 HELP

I have embarked on this journey to ace the GMAT for about about 6months and I am only at 550 ( Q: 39 & V:27) the last test I did on mba site, I was torn apart when I saw this mark. I want to write by the end of June but I feel as it is impossible to get my score and on the brink of giving up on this evil test... Can someone please advise how I can bring my Q score up and work on my SC skills within the next month?????? Desparate for any tactics that will help....

go through MGMAT SC book.
Also in SC, review why other answers were incorrect.
Concentrate on modifiers.
for problem solving, Read OG12 concepts first, and solve all OG12 questions.

Can someone give me a good study schedule that would work to help me improve my Verbal ( everyday 10 SC questions ) and some good resources to work through?

Firstly you should realize that everyone has unique areas of strength and weakness. So there is no point in having a one size fits all approach. Though even BTG gives you a 60-day plan - remember it is what worked for Erin - not necessary the same stuff will work for you.

Secondly you have not mentioned what your specific problem areas are. Also what is your target GMAT score, and how do you feel you can plug in the gap? This is 1st level analysis you can do at your end. Then get to finding specific answers.

Finally you also need to get away from this checklist approach where you are trying to solve "n" questions, or X books to get a better score. This is not an approach that will work on GMAT as it is a test of your ability to apply intelligence in a standardized format.

Sorry if my post is a bit blunt but I just wanted to tell it as it is :)

Let us know of specific problems and we can suggest ways to improve.

quick over view of all mgmat books and you will be ready to score 690+.

spend about 15hrs devoted to the mgmat material. practice using knewton and mgmat exams and you will be good.

and dismiss kaplan all together.

If only that's true...

650 is a very attainable mark, and I believe that the most important aspect of reaching this mark is to have a solid foundation of all of the basic GMAT topics.

For example in quant, algebra and word problems are one of the most frequently appeared topics. Master these before anything else.

In SC, master topics such as Parallelism, Subject Verb Agreement, Verb Form, and etc.

In summary, practice the basic concepts and master them. Don't worry about "advance topics," and don't worry about 700+ level questions.

Thanks..

Well, I think my main issues have been with Sentence Corrections (because when I do my practice test, I don't seen too use many of the tactics that I have come to know from MGMAT) I have postponed taking the test for another month until I am ready. So I have been trying to work on and hopefully this doesn't mess up my quant score.
