Profile Evalution

by @2010 » Fri Oct 30, 2009 1:59 am
I am 23 year old Indian female IT professional(again part of over represented group) with 2 years of experience.
GMAT Score:700
CGPA:2.9(its been converted from percentage to CGPA according to a conversion scale which i didn't felt logical as mine was the highest in the class of 120)

Currently leading a team of three for Market Risk suite of applications for a leading european oil and gas company.
Have displayed leadership and accepted challenges, involved in organizational level activities, got client appreciations for projects undertaken. In fact parallely played the role of BA for my current project because of sound domain knowledge.

I a mainly targeting at UCLA,Michigan,INSEAD and ISB but the major concern is the years of experience. What are my chances?

Hi @2010,

You will have 2 years of working experience when you matriculate? The main thing, for a younger applicant, is to demonstrate a convincing reason for wanting to get an MBA at this time. This will prove that you have thought at length as to why you need an MBA.

Otherwise, your credentials look great. How is your application coming?

@2010 - for INSEAD - the school usually looks for diverse set of work experience. As for ISB - it is challenging but I've witnessed cases that get admitted without any work experience. If you need help with applications - please feel free to reach out.
