Books for theory GMAT

Hi guys,

A small intro about me, I'm a Regional Financial Manager that wants to do a Masters in Finance in September 2018. I'm perfect at self studying and creating plans since I Graduated University full time while working full time in the Finance industry.

My problem is not knowing what Books to buy, I got the Official GMAT bundle which is great for Questions but I'm looking for something that contains theory to decrease my research time for the how to. As my Job is not really 9-5 and can't easily take time to research around on the Internet.

My test is on the 27th of October 2017, last application date for the Masters is on May 2018 minimum is 660 points if over 680 then it's direct acceptance.

Thank you for any suggestions for Books.

There are a lot of great books out there to work with as well as online resources. We suggest the following for you to explore. Also, go to your local bookstore and check these out. If you have more niche needs, we can recommend more.

Hi FT92,

You already have a Test Date (with plenty of time to study) and a specific score goal in mind, so we know the immediate parameters that we're working with. Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

This is great, thanks for the Amazon links.

The Manhattan Books had 50% off so I just bought them. I'm going to study those plus the Original books for 4 months and see where it takes me. If not enough I'll check all other sources you suggested.

Thanks Rich,

I'm just trying out the Questions to refresh my abilities, and planning to take a full CAT by the end of this month. I'll post what score I get here to make sure I am on the correct track !
