You are being asked about how many ways there are to arrange 5 items along a circular table. I would say that 5! is the correct approach, and choose 120. However, my only reservation is that you are told that two arrangements are considered different if the positions of the people are different relative to each other. This makes me think that 120 is too easy.
in cicular permutation . The no of ways asked for is given by the formula (n-1)! ? so it should be 24 ways !
