Six Machines,each working at same constant rate ,together can complete the job in 12 days.How many additional machines each working at same constant rate,will be needed to complete job in 8 days ....

Explanation:

Machines and days are inversely proportional.

6(Machines) * 12 (days) = x (machines) * 8 (days)

=> x = 9


We need 9 machines to complete the work in 8 days
=> we need 3 additional machines to that of original 6 Machines.

Answer is 3 (A)
