A biweekly feature with experts and BTG questions
I thought of a way for you to advertise your questions while simultaneously giving each prep company the opportunity to showcase their companies methods. Twice a month send a question to each partner prep company's expert and have them write out their company's method on how to approach and solve th...

You can eliminate 1(A) because of the words "the other infections". This is ambiguous you should instantly ask yourself, what other infections are they referencing. You can eliminate 2 (B) and 5(E) because "like" cannot introduce examples. You can eliminate 4(D) because "had...

In terms of meaning, C is not as good of an option as D because the non-underlined portion of the sentence uses the past tense. Choice D uses the past tense "dressed", while choice C uses the infinitive. It's not "wrong" but it isn't the best option. Look for clues like verb tens...

Maybe my sentence correction knowledge is just that off, but I eliminated A, B, and C because of incorrect modifiers. In C, the "According to" phrase is actually acting like a modifier (that's how I read it anyway), so what came after the comma doesn't make logical sense. "Each Year&q...

I didn't think the OG was similar to the real thing. I think the best practice is to use the last 100 questions of the problem solving and data sufficiency sections. I would do the last four RC passages, and the last 30 CR and SC questions. Those are the only problems that are remotely similar to an...

Can you speak on the case method. Do you feel that you really learn finance and accounting through the case method or is it more a situation where you learn great soft skills, but the hard skills are lacking? Do you guys do any work in Excel, or is it mainly just preparing for class in case you get ...

I don't think you should take it again. I think at this point, you're looking at applying round two if you take it again and I'm not sure if it's worth it. Right now with your 700 and good applications, you will probably get into at least one of the schools you are targeting and you can go this year...

Hi, If you're going to get the powerscore CR bible, you don't need the Manhattan GMAT CR guide ( I don't think its that good). Also, you don't need the MGMAT Reading Comp, the Veritas one is the best RC guide. I also, wouldn't buy the Kaplan materials, they really aren't that good. I wouldn't buy th...

I don't know of any tools, but what helped me were the two veritas books (problem solving and stats and advanced word problems). I just did the problems in the guides a few times. It was like a word problem immersion experience..lol

If your verbal is already strong, I would recommend buying the following books. Veritas Prep- Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Word Problems, Data Sufficiency, and Problem Solving and Statistics. Additionally, I would buy the Manhattan GMAT Number Properties guide. I would go through all of t...

It depends on your goal. I self-studied with the Manhattan Guides and scored a 680 on my first attempt. I wanted above a 700, so I took a class with Veritas Prep, and scored a 730 on my second attempt. I think if you would be satisfied with a 650 ish, then just self study, if you want to break into ...
