I felt the GMATPrep was representative of the actual GMAT on both verbal and quant. For verbal, I had a 37 the last time I took the GMATprep and I got a 38 on the real thing.

It's $250 each time you take it .. it's $50 to postpone the exam. As far as ordering books online and it taking a week or two, even if you ordered it and it got to your door right away, I dont think you have much 'learning' time given your time frame. If you're going to take it in three weeks, then ...

It's entirely up to you whether you should postpone. It depends on how much ground you can cover these next three weeks. I used the MGMAT books, and I found them very helpful. I also tried to minimize the cost. I bought the 8 book set on Amazon for about 120 dollars. I figure I can re-sell them for ...

I found what has been said about the GMATPrep being the most accurate indicator to be true. So if you scored that in your GMATPrep, it is very likely you'll get that on the real thing (sorry I know that's not what you want to hear). In addition, I dont think you can ever 'safely add 100 points' to y...

Weak Undergrad Program?
How much does the perceived quality of your undergrad institution weigh in on MBA admissions? I went to a run of the mill state university (3.5 GPA) where the acceptance rate was somewhere in the 70% range (if not higher) - will this pretty much be a devastating blow to my chances at a top 20 MBA pr...

I can vouch for the MGMAT books. They are detailed, and pretty much everything I saw on the exam was covered to some degree on the MGMAT books. I self studied (did not take a class) using the books, so everything i knew came from the MGMAT books and no other resource, and that was enough to do well ...

Does Essay Questions Change From Year-to-Year?
Does essay topics change from year-to-year? Does the criteria for recommendations change as well? I'm planning to apply for Fall 2011 once they start accepting applications, and was wondering if it was too early to get started on some essays. It would be a pain if I started early on the essay topics...

I read somewhere that it's rounded, so perhaps you really got a 46.5Q and 37.5V? I dont know, but that kind of sucks.osirus0830 wrote:How is that possible? I got the exact same verbal/quant scores and got a 680

I just back from my exam, and I'm in a somewhat similar boat. I didn't get high practice scores though, but I hadn't taken a full practice test in the final two weeks of preparation, so I dont know how much my GMAT score reflected my ability (whether I underachieved, overachieved, or about right). W...

You should keep trying. It seems your quant is on the right track, you may just not have had your A game that day. I bet with another crack at it, you'll be matching your practice Quant score. For verbal, it looks like your score dropped when you went took the GMATPrep CATs. I've been doing the MGM...

Is x > y? (1) x + y < 0 (2) x - y > 0 The right answer is supposed to be B, but I think it should be D. Here's how I came to that conculsion. (1): x + y < 0 so x < -y so x > y <- is this wrong?? SUFFICIENT (2): x - y > 0 so x > y SUFFICIENT So, where did I go wrong? Thanks in advance for any help o...

'related to' and 'in relation to' have different meanings, the latter of which means 'in comparison to'. That would make E incorrect, because they arent comparing the animals.

Sounds like it's two questions: How many different combinations can you have? and How many different combinations can you have if you dont count rolls where a repeat number comes up (ie if you roll a 6 in the first roll, then u can't roll another 6. If you do, it doesn't count and u roll until u get...

Can you please explain the following step - I'd like to better understand the shortcut as I usually am tight on time "factor out 2^(x-2), which results in 2^(x-2) * (2^2 - 1) , which equals 2^(x-2)*3 " Appreciate your help! Its a bit hard to explain, but I'll do my best. The factoring is ...
