An easy way to think about this is to add up the no of students and compare numbers to both extremes of the scores.
2+10+12 = 24, therefore if the 90-99 category only has 21 students, the median will have to be in 80-89 category

If it's not
'D'
, then why not?
IMO C is the answer.
D is out of scope. There was no mention of nondietary modifications in the statement.

IMO (D)

We need to resolve the poor assumption that is made. Deaths of citizens in US is comparable to deaths of armed forces overseas.

We can do this by expressing the figures as a percentage of the total population.

(D) achives this.

IMO (C). If the number of adoptions = number of children, then there is no supply of children left for adoption after each year.

(A) does not prove that there are fewer children. May be the number of couples waiting is increasing for other reasons.

(B) Irrelevant

(D) and (E) are out of scope.

Can just choose numbers for this.
Let m = 8, therefore points scored from m players = 40 (8x5)
Therefore, n = 5 (5 x 2 = 10) and 40+10 = 50.

Difference between m and n = 3.

You can see that 8 would work for m, but not 9 or 7 (points would be 45, and 5 is not divisible by 2).

IMO (B)
