If you go with meaning none of the options sound good.
indicates that - subjunctive mood should be followed by base form of the verb so eliminate D and E.
Eliminate A and B - parallelism/structure.

The average of 50 numbers is 38. This means total of 50 numbers is 1900 (i.e 50*38)
If two numbers 45 and 55 are discarded=> New total = (1900-(55+45))=1800
So new average= 1800/48 (48 because two numbers discarded)
New Average=37.5
