The easy way to eliminate E is by noting that the plural "differences" doesn't agree with the singular verb "is." But even without that, "little of... difference" isn't idiomatically correct. You would just say "little significant difference," or "little ...

If you use "which," you create a modifying phrase that modifies the noun closest to it-- here, "major works of art." None of the modifying phrases in A, B, or C could logically apply to "major works of art," so those choices can all be eliminated. Using the "likeni...

To answer your first question, to the best of my knowledge, the GMAC hasn't released official information on this, and there are conflicting statements from various reputable sources (i.e., major test prep companies). At least one respected company states that there are exactly 11 experimental quest...

I'm responding to a PM about this query, and seconding what Mitch wrote: one entire set of passage + questions will be experimental. It's not only the questions that are being checked out for future use-- it's also the passage itself, since the length, subject matter, and writing style are critical ...

I haven't seen a question like this in years; I doubt if you'll see one on the test. That being said, if you were to see one for some reason, handle it with a combination of organization and inference strategies; that is, note the content and structure of the passage up until that point, and then in...

It really depends on which schools you're applying to; some schools don't look at the essay score at all. I'd suggest calling the admissions offices at your target schools and explaining the situation to them; there may be some way to finesse the situation. I think that a 760 goes a long way toward ...

Can some one explain why it is not B. I thought that to be the answer when I read through. My reasoning was that, to find the assumption in this question, we have to establish that the owl makes its winter home in Baja Peninsula if cacti are present. Only if this is established, can we conclude tha...

Responding to a PM on this question. This sentence has a common idiom: "not only X, but also Y." "Not only" isn't underlined here, so the correct underlined portion has to provide the second half of the idiom. That rules out C, D, and E, none of which has "but also." (&...

Your essay is of a good length, and you make some solid points against censorship. I think that you could improve it by providing more specific examples; instead of just mentioning that some documentaries could be offensive because they are addressing harsh realities like war, you could refer to a s...

The dwarf masked owl, a rare migratory bird of prey, normally makes its winter home on the Baja peninsula, where it nests in the spiny cactus. In fact, there are no other suitable nesting sites for the dwarf masked owl on the Baja peninsula. But a blight last spring destroyed all of the spiny cacti...

bmanavi, your essay starts out strong; your intro is good, and your first body paragraph does a good job of pointing out a flaw and maintaining focus on the structure and connections in the argument. Later paragraphs, however, focus more on the issue and less on the argument. More problematic for me...

Your essay accurately addresses several flaws in the author's reasoning, but you don't really frame your statements in terms of the argument. Employing some of the approaches from Critical Reasoning will help your essay sound more argument-centered. For example, point out specific assumptions and ho...
