I got B as my answer

Is x Pos? 1) X+6> 2 therefore, x>-4. Could be either pos or neg. Insuf. 2) x^2>25 so x^2-25>0 factor down: (x-5)(x+5)>0 so x-5>0 x>5 or x+5>0 x>-5 . Eithere way, the answer cannot lie in the middle. It means x is pos. That is my take. What do you guys think? I noticed that the signs switched in some...

My choice is E

Guys, First, Yes I do feel the question is a bit ambiguous. But I will devise an interpretation based on what I think it means. Only here to provide additional insight and help. Let's begin. In this case my answer to the above question is E. (1) Tells us that N>3, it is made up of 2 prime #'s. well ...

E

Agree with CR. make sure that when you want to rule out A,B, and D you combine all the elements to arrive at either C or E.

You were close. 1 more step. yes, it seems like they both work (in actuality they do) but we need to arrive at 1 answer only.

E

Answer is E

Q. When the positive integer x is divided by 4, is the remainder equal to 3? (1) When x/3 is divided by 2, the remainder is 1. (2) x is divisible by 5. (1) I resimplified this to read x/6 (bc x/3/2 is really x/3 x 1/2). then from there I plugged in possible values for x. You will find some answers l...

Answer is C

I took the linear equation approach of a Venn Diagram Set A + Set B- Both (A+B)+N=Total We do need both bits of info as you can see they are complementary and crucial to creating an equation. This is what C looks like if you had the info lined up Denote: Set A=X, Set B=Y, N=Neither X+Y-.72+.27=1 (re...

Agree with E

I would go with E. The trick is we cannot multiply the divisor with a variable whose sign we do not know. If it is negative, that could change how the equality is represented. Since we do not know the sign for either x or y, we cannot assume they are positive.

Why I dont think it is C

Guys, If it is C, that means that the opposite sides are equal length and parallel to one another. These two properties hold for a rectangle as well. The choice should be E. The difference between the two is that rectangles have 90 degree angles while a parallelogram's interior angles add up to 360 ...

Think of how the word "of" is used

I hope this will help: It is not asking for the total homes/all the homes in City X that were occupied but rather it focuses on the 230 that were built. 1)If the question was what was the total homes occupied in City X at the end of the year, you would be correct in answering A. 2) This jus tells yo...
