if there happen to be a lot of CRs there, for example, then your CR percentage goes down.
Interesting comment Stacey. Can you expand on this please? Is CR weighted more then RC or SC? This is really important to me because when running out of time, I always...

That is really terrible. Maybe one of the worst test taking experiences I've ever heard. The good news is that 1) you may get to re take because of unfair test conditions 2) The next time you write it, your score will be way better and you can explain away your first score in your MBA applications. ...

logitech - Great contribution. Thanks for letting us know.
In my 10 minute test run, the questions seem really easy. I'm still gonna keep trying them for practice. You never know, they may be great questions.

I understand the above comments about the essay, but there must be other reasons why people do worse on the real thing as well. Do you guys have any additional thoughts? What about level of difficulty or style of questions in the current GMAT tests? Has anyone written in the past 12 months? Do you f...

Best Time of Year to take the GMAT?
Do you guys think that there might be a benefit at taking the GMAT at a certain time of year? For instance, when GMAT application time is approaching (fall/winter), that the competition among test takers may impact that one's percentile. If there are less test takers, it may lead to lower competitio...

zackca - Thanks for the insight. That seems like a good perspective on the subject. I think its good to use as a tool and it gives you an idea of the latest style of questions. I think one of the main challenges I faced on GMAT Focus problems was the complicated phrasing used. It can be difficult to...

This has happened to me. Its pretty depressing, but there is nothing you can do. Just study the test and write the same test again. Seeing questions for a second time doesn't always impact your score as much as you would think, because you get harder questions to follow and things may even out. Its ...

mayonnai5e - Thanks for taking the time to reply. Just so you are aware. GMAT Focus is a product from MBA.com that claims to "provide a unique bank of retired GMAT quantitative questions in an adaptive GMAT-like format." http://www.gmatfocus.com/ Its VERY expensive, but it does give exposu...

GMAT Focus...how representative is it?
I found a comment from an instructor on another forum that stated "the question bank may not be 100% representative of the actual GMAT question pool" Do others feel this way about the GMAT Focus questions? They definitely do seem different then GMAT Prep Test questions. There was way more ...
