One advantage of doing your application/rec letters online is the feature to "remind" your recommenders. Many times, your recommender might be busy with other activities. Therefore, he/she might forget or push aside the task. If you gave them the paper version, then you must constantly rem...

Easy to get into MBA if you are undergraduate alumni?
I graduated from NYU Stern with BS in Accounting in 2005 with GPA of 3.5 I've been working as a CPA for a big 4 accounting firm for past 3 years and I scored 770 on GMAT. If I apply for NYU Stern MBA, do you think I will have easier time getting in compared to others because I am an alumni? (Forget ...

That all depends. Just because an employer comes to a school and recruits there every year, it doesn't mean the employer will consider a graduate of specific school for all of their divisions. For example, graduating from Fordham MBA will not get you access to the same jobs that NYU grads can. (Sure...

I don't think you should even consider Pace. Their entrance requirement is so low. Quality of education isn't up to par with Fordham. However, I would wait for NYU PT program if YOUR INTENTION IS TO GO TO WALL ST. I hear Fordham's deadline for accepting is later than most schools and NYU reputation ...

Beat the GMAT!!! From 500 to 770 in 3 months!!!
I took my GMAT for the 2nd time last friday and to my surprise, I nearly aced it! (770 - V50, Q44, AWA 5) 3 months ago I took my GMAT and scored only 500. (V31, Q 27, AWA 5) I ran out of time on quant section and was penalized for not answering few leftover questions. Before my 1st exam, I studied w...

save your time on DS questions. If you do research on attacking DS problems in other parts of this forum, you will realize that for many DS questions, you don't even need to solve for x to answer the question.

I can concur to the two previous posts. However, I can tell from my experience that low score on GMAT Math results from lack of knowledge on how to approach different type of problems. (rather than whether you are competent in math or not) For example, my GMAT Math score jumped by 12 points when I m...

I think you mean middle 25% to 75% range. this means the score range for middle 50 percent of applicants.
75th percentile being higher end to 25th percentile being lower end.
