Hi Jen and VP_Jim,
Thanks for the insights. Yup, sometimes, I just have a good laugh thinking about the level of difficulty of GMAT English. When I first started studying Verbal, I did not know that it will require 'this much' of effort, to be honest. :)

Is GMAT verbal actually relevant?

Hello everyone, I have been studying for GMAT for the last 2 months. I find it strange that GMAT tests the verbal skills of a B-school applicant to an extent even an English expert 'may not' answer all questions correctly. IMO, good English is essential in order for a student to follow the MBA cours...

Hello, thank you for the opinion. I agree with you that it is quite impossible to answer the experimental questions wrongly since these questions are mostly easier than the 800 level questions. If a test taker can be at the 800 level, he or she would probably knows how to answer most of the question...

Do u get the perfect 800 score for this? :)

Hello everyone, I have read many interesting and fantastic posts here about the actual GMAT scoring algorithm. I have a question. Lets say in the real GMAT test, a person is very 'lucky' indeed, he answered all the experimental questions incorrectly and answered every other questions (which are coun...

Hello....for each section (quant and verbal), the score is reported on the scale that runs from 0-60....so 60 is the maximum and not 100. So, 47Q means 47/60.

Only 9 mistakes in Quant (Veritas test) but score is low...

Hello everyone, this morning, I took the Veritas free test. I scored 41/60 for Quant section although I answered only 9 questions wrongly out of 37. Questions which I answered wrongly: 7, 8, 13, 14, 20, 23, 27, 29, 37. As shown above, I did not have a string of errors (maximum: two mistakes in a row...

Hello iamcste, thanks for your opinion. It is hard to judge the complexity of the V questions asked in GMATprep 1; I could not really tell whether the questions are from 600 level or 700 level. I counted the number of questions which I have answered correctly for SC, RC and CR: SC 9/17 (only 9 answe...

14 V questions wrongly answered, but score is less than 30.

Hello everyone, I have a question to ask regarding my verbal score of GMATprep 1. Out of 41 questions, I answered only 14 questions wrongly but my score is less than half of 60 which is 29/60. How can that be possible... I would be satisfied with 35. Kindly explain what has gone wrong. Thank you ver...

Hello logitech, thanks a lot :D your answer is correct, it is E. After looking at how you solved it, now I believe it is solvable within 2 minutes, but I need a deep understanding on functions like yours. I am still amazed at how you derived it (at first it looked complicated). Thanks.

A tricky GMATprep question on functions... please help....

Hello everyone, I have just taken the GMATprep 1. I have one question which I do not know how to answer, even after reviewing it. The question is: For every positive even integer n, the function h(n) is defined to be the product of all the even integers from 2 to n, inclusive. If p is the smallest p...

Hello logitech, thanks for words of encouragement.... :)

Also thanks to you, Stuart, for some tips on CR. I will work on all the CR questions in OG11 another 2-3 times, especially the ones which I have answered wrongly.

Hello :) answering your question... for the last 25 CR questions in OG11, I answered 15 of them correctly, which makes up 60%. As compared to Kaplan GMAT 800, I find that the CR questions in this book are tougher than the tough questions (last 25 questions) in OG11. I would like to ask for your opin...
