I can confirm that it does work this way on the AWA section - I clicked confirm but didn't have time to hit "ok" - my score was still graded and a test administrator confirmed that whatever was down when time ran out would be evaluated. Sorry this doesn't necessarily help with whether or n...

According to a check on my TI-84 0^any number = 0
I think B is insufficient because also because it only tells us that n is not equal to 0.
Therefore given x^2n = 1
1^any number = 1
however x could also be -1 because n could be 2, 4, 6, etc.
therefore 2 is insuff also.
I go with E also.

Thus BC=root of( x^2 + x^2 ) + x^2 = x root3=1.732x AB= root of( x^2 + x^2 ) = x root2=1.414x I must have forgotten this rule of roots/exponents. What is/are the rule/s for taking the square root of numbers with exponents? I know that the general rule in simplifying the z'th root of (x^n) = x^n/z. ...

Any recommendations, then, for the most efficient way to practice if I start to make an unacceptable amount of errors around problem 110 of 250 in the problem solving section? Time is not an issue, really - if I know how to solve the problem I can do it quickly enough. But from question 100 to 115, ...

Difficulty Order in OG11?
Just wondering if anyone knew if questions got more difficult as the numbers advanced, specifically in the problem solving section. I've done questions 1-80 and have really not found them to be terribly challenging. In my actual GMAT experience and in my experience with other prep workbooks, the que...

If it helps, here's how i thought of it.
They intended to order an equal amount of each color, a 1:1 ratio. a 5:5 ratio = 1:1.
Since 30 extra balls made the ratio 6:5, then 30 equals 1/5th of the intended order for each color. So 5*30 + 5*30 = 300.

Tricky Combination Problem
Hi all, Came across the following question today that's driving me crazy: An engagement team consists of a project manager, team leader, and 4 consultants. There are 2 candidates for PM, 3 candidates for TL, and 7 candidates for the 4 consultant positions. If 2 of the 7 consultants refuse to be on t...
