I think this the time to see if business schools up really believe in what they study or just a money making machine of the faculty for rich people. B schools usually talk about innovation and helping the community. If they believe in their candidates so much, why not secure money from their own fun...

What does the deadline mean?
If a university stated that the deadline is October 08, does it mean you can submit by October 08, 23:59 or by October 7, 23:59.
Just out of curiosity.

Actually, the government turned investment banks into regular banks. They wiped out an entire sector. And I think that will see less applicants to top school this year for two reasons: 1. people/families have no money to pay for top schools. 2. One of the great incentives of B Schools was the iBanki...

Lisa thanks again.
I do feel than when you apply earlier you have more chance because the class is not yet "closed". I do feel that near the deadline you have to be more close to the "standard". Is that seems right to you regarding your experience with columbia rolling admission?

When did you start to notice the hard questions?
To any test taker here, when did you start notice that the questions get really hard, and that you are in the 700-800 zone? In the princeton tests for example only towards the end you see some hard questions. And in the GMATPrep you see them right from the beginning. So when did you see the question...

Just to add a small question:
Lisa, do you think there is a huge difference between a good application with a 680 score to the same application with a 720 score? this 40 points can be the deal breaker?
let's say we are talking about a school where the average is 700-705.

I think you also need to check out, what are your other variables your application. if you have a good GPA and good essays, I don't think that the GMAT score will be the thing between getting in and staying out.
