MOST people can't get 700+, so I honestly wouldn't worry about that at all. It's a mythical, magical number that people seem to think is required to get into good schools. It's not. A GMAT score can't get you in, although it can keep you out if you're well below a school's average. If your 650 is wi...

You have the right materials; the OG, GMATPrep and PR are great. You definitely need to stick to a tighter schedule if you want to see improvement. I agree that you should mix up verbal and quant. Do enough practice questions for each type at a time so you can pick up patterns in your errors. Are yo...

You need to eat the right foods, not rely on energy drinks. Here's what I recommend, whether you're taking a test or not: breakfast: eggs, fruit or yogurt, toast, plus a little OJ. covers all the bases. lunch: PB&J or peanut butter & banana sandwich, or tuna sandwich snacks: apple (fabulous ...

There is a free one on Princeton Review's Web site: http://www.princetonreview.com/business/free-gmat-practice-test.aspx?uidbadge= From everything I have read in the forums, Kaplan is both a lot harder than the real GMAT, and the scoring algorithm is off, so your Kaplan scores will be a lot lower th...

I am doing Princeton Review's online course, and I would definitely recommend it. The lessons are based on my performance (i.e. weak spots get more attention), although I can do any of the drills anytime, but I really like having them customized. The online instructor chat is very cool and helps a L...

The real GMAT looks exactly like GMATPrep.

When you take the real GMAT, they're going to mix it up, so you should too. Get into a good enough groove where you're able to find and tackle weaknesses and common mistakes for one question type, then move on to the next type after you're feeling confident.

Definitely use OG over Kaplan for untimed practice. Have you downloaded and taken the free GMATPrep tests from mba.com? Those are a MUST. If you've taken those already, then you can do Princeton Review's online test (it's free): http://www.princetonreview.com/business/free-gmat-practice-test.aspx?ui...

The Powerprep tests are too old to be useful, and they aren't truly adaptive, so I really wouldn't bother with those. They could throw you off.

Which prep course did you take? I know at least Princeton Review and Kaplan have a guarantee that lets you retake the course for free (well, PR's is free; not positive Kaplan's is, but if not, it's likely a small fee).

Four hours a day on weekdays might be a bit too much, esp if you work full-time, but otherwise your strategy and materials list sound good.

The Powerprep exams are pretty old and weren't truly adaptive, not like the current test, so I wouldn't really bother with them.

I haven't heard too much about Veritas' tests but am surprised at it being 150 points lower than GMATPrep and PR. I thought GMATPrep and PR were pretty accurate, so I'd stick with those if Veritas is that far off.

Yeah, a class would be great for the discipline, probably better than a tutor.
