GMAT score 5 year expiration

Can someone please clarify the 5-year expiration of a GMAT score? Is that 5 years until the application or until entering school? I took my GMAT in August on 2010. I am planning to apply to schools in August 2014 (within the 5 year period), but when I begin school the score will have expired. Is thi...
