Ha! And that's why I will never score above a 50 on the quant section. :-)

I think you may be right about the later MGMAT tests scoring higher. I took my first one last week and got a 630 (Q-36, V40) after scoring consistently 700+ on Princeton Review and GMAT Prep tests. I took the second and third tests yesterday and today and received scores of 700 (Q-43, V-41) and 730 ...

You have plenty of time to break 650 by the end of summer. Definitely take the studying seriously though.

Just got done with MGMAT #2

Results: 700 (Q-43, V-41)

I'm much happier with this score. The Quant is still a bit below my averages from the other tests, but, from what I understand, that is to be expected.

Thanks for the responses to my frustration last week!

Congratulations! That's a fantastic score!

What kinds of problems did you feel differed the most or gave you the most problems on the actual test?

The best approach to this is to think what exactly is happening. If each student (x) gets to pick 2 songs each, that product can be divided by 12 to get to 4.

In a formula:
(2x)/12 = 4

Solve for x = 24

Lisa, what is we don't want out current manager to know we're thinking about changing cities and going to school full time. Won't that affect promotions if we end up not getting in if they know we'll probably be leaving soon?

Dude! Amazing score! Great going!

Did you feel like any sorts of problems were especially prevalent? Permutations, combinations, probability, number properties, geometry, etc?

Well, I'm 23, but I can say for sure that something everyone should do is take a GMAT Prep Test from www.mba.com and see where you're at so you can set a specific goal for improvement. Then go through the OG11 voraciously and creat an excel spreadsheet detailing which questions you're getting right ...

Ha! See, I don't even know what these problems are called! No wonder I have issues with them! Okay, I see what you're saying. I thought about it like this. Why is this wrong? Each pizza can be prepared in 4 ways: plain, extra cheese, mushrooms, both. So shouldn't we have: 4!+4!+4!+4!? That would be ...

If n is a positive integer and n^2 is divisible by 72, then the largest positive integer that must divide n is ?? Explanation: dividend = divisor * quotient + remainder => since is n ^ 2 is divisble by 72 = > quotient is some x and remainder = 0 => n ^ 2 = 72 * x + 0 => n ^ 2 = 72*x => n = sqrt(72*...

Re: an example of my fustration

I am going to give two examples. 1.) The principal of a high school needs to schedule observations of 6 teachers. She plans to visit one teacher each day of the week, so she will only have time to see 5 of the teachers. How many different observation schedules can she create. 2.) A second grade cla...
