Hi All! As the application process this year has kept many of us on our toes, I've been trying to decide on a backup school. I just opened my Simon information packet (it's been sitting around for months!) and there's a note inside that says I have been designated as a "Priority Candidate"...

confidence shaken!
I take the GMAT in 2 days and I'm completely confused as to where I stand. I thought I've been making good progress over that last few months (yes MONTHS!). I started with a blind score of 540, then after finishing Veritas On Demand i took another practice test and my score went down to 510! Freaked...

thank you! functions has always been a weakness of mine! =) but just to make sure....this is what you did right?? set x=3 and plug it into the given function f(x)=f(1-x) which gives you: f(3)=f(-2) and then for all the answer choices you plugged in x=3 on one side and x=-2 for the other side and see...

If x<0, then the square root of -x|x| is...
a) -x
b) -1
c) 1
d) x
e) square root of x
i'm probably missing something cause i thought it was d. the answer is a but i don't know how they got the negative. please help! thank you!

Please help function problem
For which of the following functions f is f(x) = f(1-x) for all x?
a) f(x) = 1-x
b) f(x) = 1-x^2
c) f(x) = x^2 - (1-x)^2
d) f(x) = x^2(1-x)^2
e) f(x) = 1/(1-x)
