dude I'll take your score!!
Forget about the percentile. Your score rocks. If your application tells a compelling story I doubt that a 43 on Quant will count against you.

Since you interested in going to get an MBA, I'd suggest you make it a habit going forward. To be a good and effective manager you need to be aware of the current trends not just in business but also at the global level. haptas,
Are you an avid reader? Do you read business magazines such as WSJ, Economist or even regular newspapers such as NYTimes?
If not, you need to get cracking at reading such magazines, comprehending how arguments are structured and recognizing proper grammar.

Bret, Again wow! You know math is truly amazing and I wish I had my present attitude when I was a kid. I'd just look at problems and say 'it's hard'. So my mistake was an incorrect/simplistic assumption of the speed of the current. Looking at the 2 equations you set up: B+C=6 B-C=4 It becomes obviou...

Bret, Wow. Here's how I approached it and let me know where my assumption was faulty. I chose a distance that would be easy to work with D=18 (one way). 1. Going upstream with a time of 4.5 hrs, speed will be 18/4.5=4 2. Going downstream with a time of 3 hrs, speed will be 18/3 = 6. Therefore, speed...

Distance Problem - Upstream/Downstream/Current Speed
The steamer going upstream would cover the distance between town A and town B in 4 hours and 30 minutes. The same steamer going downstream would cover the distance between the towns in 3 hours. How long would it take a raft moving at the speed of the current to float from town B to town A? A)10 hour...

Again thanks for the illumination. Sometimes working under time constraints makes you not think in a wholesome manner

If x is a positive integer, is x^1/2 < 2.5x - 5
If x is a positive integer, is x^1/2 < 2.5x - 5 ? 1. x < 3 2. x is a prime number OA is A, I went for C Here's how I approached the problem. I didn't like the square root on the LHS so I restated the question as "Is x< (2.5x - 5)^2". Is there anything wrong with my operation to square both...
