As David said, the argument is more of an advertisement - Stating a surprising fact, creating a need and providing the solution.

crescent-shaped area should have the singular verb runs not run. Eliminate D and E.

A and B doesnot have a working verb in the first part of the sentence, i.e. before "and".

Only C works and it is correct.

To me, RC assumption questions, unlike CR assumption question, is less likely to have subtle answers.

The above question is more likely to appear in a CR from what i have seen.

Lets hope for the best of our reasoning during the test.
