I am no expert but i think i can help you with this one. F1: People become ill because of molds every year. F2: Specialists are hired to eradicate them F3: They look for molds in moist areas as MOLDS ARE ALWAYS FOUND IN MOIST AREAS. Conclusion: To avoid molds keep dry by taking care of plumbing Assu...

A is a better choice than B, it is more 'to the point' and meaningful. Choice B is more generalised. IMO MGMAT CR's have choices which are slightly difficult to choose because some of the contender choices are not completely wrong. They lay more stress on choosing the more precise answer choice than...

So we need to choose an answer which shows that incumbent president should NOT be given credit for the downturn in defense outlays. You have already done that. It appears completely appropriate. Although predecessor had 8% annual increase in defense budgets, it was lower than the inflation. Which is...

If i'm reading this question right, I did 96/4 = 24 - 2 since 4 and 8 are not included, hence there are 22 multiples of 4 between 12 and 96 inclusive That's right but can we generalize this problem to find even for larger numbers. Like if in the question we had to find multiples between 120 and 340.

The best thing about the correct answer choice in GMAT is it must 100% correct. We can see that in this question very clearly. F1: Either PF or TF will win, NOT BOTH. F2: If PF wins, nation suffers economically. F3: If TF wins, nation suffers militarily. (A) It is possible, but not certain, that the...

IMO this is another example (although a weak one) of ambiguity in MGMAT CAT CR's. Although here choice E is more appropriate than the other two (D and C), its quite clear as it rejects validity of premises rather than suggesting alternate reasons, which according to MGMAT is preferable. I am quite a...

MGMAT CR's are good in the cats however rely only on official CR's for the sort of reasoning u need to excel in the GMAT. Agreed. Whether it be Kaplan, MGMAT, Gmatclub, each o...

Ambiguous MGMAT CRs | Just an opinion | Examples included

Hi, Anyone out there who can express his/her experience with MGMAT(Manhattan GMAT) CR questions, in free CAT. I felt the answer choices very ambiguous in some of them. For ex. 1. The number of new cases of tuberculosis diagnosed in Country X increased dramatically this year. The country's news media...

Clearly C seems to be the right answer.

None of the other statements can be true in all cases.
