Well, I think your tutor is correct.
Quant in MGMAT is 10% tough than real GMAT
Whereas, RC and CR in MGMAT is easier than real, but SC is in same stage.

Well, the experts do speak a lot about MBA applicants are accepted with less experience than average in top B Schools. That's true, but not more than 3% of the total such applicants. If not specifically mentioned to be keep it double spaced, your are free to write as per your spacing preference.
But, its a good habit to keep double spaced in Essays of B Schools

Comparison
Which one is the best?
The Masters Program from a top B School as MIM of LBS or MMS at Duke or the MBA from some European college as CEU, ESMT?
Cost will be almost same for the both. But whats about the value and placement?

Well!!! There is shortcut's can be used in GMAT problems, but that depend on the question. But you have to find out your shortcut by yourself. Just practice a lot, and you can find it out.

Definitely yes.
Concordia Avg GMAT is 610 and HEC is 625.
So, 640+ is a fine score to be in hand.
But, remember that, GMAT Score is just the pass to open the door to apply in B Schools, not a pass to enter in B Schools. You application and other details must be strong enough
