Ans will be D

Suppose he buys x dozens eggs in May
so, in april he buys 2x/3 dozens and
in may he buys 4x/3 dozens

Total eggs = x+2x/3+4x/3 = 3x dozens

Total amt spend = (2x/3)*1.26 + x*1.2 + (4x/3)*1.08 = 3.5x

Avg price per dozen = 3.5x/3x = 1.16 D

IMO Ans B

p = 9.50 + 0.25(s – 1)

For s=5
p(5)= 9.50+0.25(5-1) = 9.50+1

For s=1
p(1)=9.50+0.25(1-1) = 9.50

p(5)-p(1) = 1 ANS

IMO, best way to solve such problems is to assume an integer such that x and (x-1) both are not divisible by 3 directly.

I took 11. So, (x-1) is 10. Now we have to evaluate (x-k)

11-(-4) = 15. Works
11-(-2) = 13. Does not work
11-(-1) = 12 Works
11-2 = 9 Works
11-5 = 6 Works

h(100) = 2* 4* 6* ..... *98*100 => 2*(2*2)*(2*3)....*(2*49)*(2*50) => (2^50)(1*2*3....*49*50) Means - all integers from 1 to 50 are factors of h(100). So, none of them will be factor of h(100)+1 So, smallest prime factor of h(100)+1 will be greater than 50 I think you are missing one option from ur ...

samir, 1 MUST NOT be true.

x = 7 and y = 3 will make 3x/y prime. So, answer will be NONE.

c is directly proportional to d means c = a*d where "a" is a constant

c is inversely proportional to e. means c = b/e where "b" is a constant

together c can be written as

c = a*d*b/e. Only answer choice 3 is in this format.

Yes, I assumed B not to be same in both terms. But, what should be the approach when we get such questions in the exam and the question does not mention anything.
