since it is a positive slope it will be at -y and area = 4x6/2=12 SO, the answer is -6

Important concepts to remember are pictures for +ve slope, -ve slope, slope =0 and Indeterminate slope. Then depending the coordinates of x and/or intercepts the picture can be refined to fit exactly.

Drawing a picture was very helpful. Also on the GMAT, the writing pad that they give has these fine grids, which makes it easier to draw such pictures.

I did these to get my coord geo concepts right.
