Suggest Verbal Strategy: 38-45

by rohit9359 » Fri Apr 10, 2009 7:26 pm
Hi All,

I have taken about 5 practice tests (GMAT Prep, MGMAT, Princeton, and Kaplan) and my verbal scores in these tests have been around 32-38. Also, i practise verbal questions in sets of 30. My accuracy here has been around 85%. I think i am stuck with these scores.

Could you please suggest any strategies to hike up the verbal score to 40-45 range?

Thanks,
Rohit.

Hey rohit my situation is quite similar to you, and what i can suggest you is to practice more and more. The more you practice, under strict time conditions, the more you improve. i have been practicing a lot of verbal stuff lately and what i feel that initially i do most of the questions right and as the clock ticks my correct answer percentage declines. so i am now working on synchronizing myself with the clock and trying to finish practice set of questions within the stipulated time. But ultimately practice matters and also remember not only to analyze questions which u did wrong, but also the questions which u marked correct. Try an error log where u can put brief explanations of wrong answers. This might help...
