Manhattan and Official Guides

by gmat1981 » Sat Feb 15, 2014 6:32 pm
Is it possible to study Manhattan 9 guides in 2 weeks and also Official Guides 3 books in another 2 weeks for a total of 4 weeks.

In these 4 weeks I'm at home 24 hours only 2 days working per week.

Hi gmat1981,

While I imagine that it is mathematically possible to read through all of those books in 4 weeks, I don't think that it's a practical plan and I doubt that you would retain enough of the material for this approach to be considered advisable.

Remember that you have to give your self enough time to practice and gain a certain level of comfort with the material that will show up on the GMAT. Working through the material quickly really limits that possibility and likely eliminates any chance to review past material. In addition, you would have a limited amount of time to take practice CATs and work on all of the non-academic skills (pacing, endurance, etc.).

If your goal is to score in a high range (700+), you're probably going to need more time than this plan allows.
