Ten suits, each priced at a whole number
of dollars, have an average price of $350.
If the five cheapest suits are priced at
$200 or less with at least one of them
costing $200, what is the maximum
possible price of the most expensive suit?
A. $890
B. $1250
C. $1475
D. $1694
E. $2492

Considering that the 5 suits each cost $200, the cost of 5 suits should be more than $2500. Now assuming that ach of teh 4 suits, except the costliest one cost $201, the cost of costliest suit should be $2500-(4*201) = $1656, which is less than the costliest suit as we assumed that the 5 cheapest suits each cost $200. Hence the costliest suit should cost $1694, which is one of the optins.
(D) is the answer.

Ten suits

5 Cheapest suits will be <=200 with one = 200. => so 4 suits can be priced as 1$ and other one 200.

We have the price of 5 and one costliest to find rest 4 we can take it to be 201 as the 5 are the cheapest.

201 * 4 = 804

3500-200-4-804 = 2492

IMO E.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.

For a while I thought why not 4 suits at 0. Then realized 4 free suits - stupid of me.
