Currently I am a senior attending Texas Tech University, non-business major (Human Sciences if this helps). GPA is currently a 3.4 and anticipating ending with a 3.5. Though still studying for the GMAT my goal is to score a 700+ I truly believe this is obtainable from my studies thus far.

I do have Internship experience and have held a part-time job throughout my collegiate career. During my internship it was my responsibility to write Job Descriptions of a Hospitality Company. I also researched and determined the total cost of running one of the company's many food service locations. This project was to help predict possible future costs of; renovation, maintenance, running. This project was to help determine whether the company was to shut down the operation or keep it running. I have also held Executive positions within my fraternity for three years (With positive results). I have been admitted to both Dean's List and President's List while enrolled in junior and senior level classes.

I know compared to other prospective students my resume will show that I am not as experienced. Though true I still wish to apply and proceed with my GMAT studies. I have chosen to pursue and MBA concentrating in either Strategy or International Business. At this point I have narrowed my options down to either attendance at SMU(Southern Methodist University) or UTD(University of Texas at Dallas). Reasoning behind these two options are: SMU offers a direct admittance program allowing even undergraduates to be accepted to their program, if not you always have the chance of receiving their deferred admittance. Meaning that the school allows you to attend after you have received at least two years work experience. I like UTD as well they have shown that their curriculum have grown substantially in the past years and are now ranked amongst the top 50 schools.

I would like to get my MBA as soon as possible, coming out of school I will still have a fresh thought process when it come to school work and assignments. I am not trying to rush. I personally believe it would be great to go ahead and move forward, to push myself to get the highest level of education I possibly can.

What I would like to know, or receive your opinions on:
1) My chances of admittance with my current profile.
2) My profile as a whole
3) Opinions on the selected schools
4) Attending either one of these schools at current level of education (Could I perform well even without W.E.?)
5) Besides W.E. what else would help with admittance?

I would like to go ahead an thank everyone for reading through please post if you can help me out with any of my questions.
Thank you for your time.
