Query regarding 1 year course

by naveen1983 » Sat May 26, 2007 5:59 pm
Hi

I have been offered a 1 year course in Purdue University(MSIA).
I have 3 years of work exp and my GMAT score was 700 GPA -3.65
But there wont be any int'ship opportunity in the course so being an
international student it can be really tough for me to get placed too.
This is the only admission I got this year. So I am in a big dilemna
whether to join the course.

So please can u help me and provide all the prospects of a 1 year course
without any int'ship and specialization for a guy with 3 years of IT experience !!![/quote]

I think you have identified the potential issue with a 1 year program. The lack of an internship can make a career switch more challenging. I suggest you contact their career center to discuss and see what resources they have and what their placement record is. The other benefits, such as network and academics of your program remain the same but the job search may be different and not as beneficial.
