B-Schools Shortlisting

by anup.shesh » Fri Dec 16, 2011 6:30 am
Hi,

I am from India, with a Mining Engineering background. I am planning to apply for the Round 1 in 2012.

For me, now its time to start shortlisting the best B-schools to suit my interests. But, shortlisting of schools is still a tough talk for me.

I am listing some of my requirements from B-Schools. These shall help in shortlisting and select the best 5 schools.

1. Most Important
- Finance and Economics (Learning these subjects, will improve my decision-making.)
- Rural Tourism (This is going to be my post-MBA industry.)
- Mechanical Engineering (I am from Mining background, but I wish to learn Mechanical Engineering courses while doing MBA.)

2. Important
- Candidates with 3-4yrs experience should be more (i.e. almost everyone is young and fresh .. preferably not more than 5yrs.)
- Small class strength
- Higher Faculty to Student ratio
- Higher intake of international candidates
- Photography (It is my hobby to take best of snaps. So any small courses would help me broaden my horizons.)

Please share your experiences and views to help me decide better.

Thank you.
:)
Yours,
Anup Sheshadri

Hi, did we meet during an admissions fair in Delhi?

Not many people have a mining UG.
