But I have a question for you...What is "it" referring to? Dont you thing E has pronoun error. Values is plural and "it" is being ref by singular pronoun "it".

Thus,
E....Pronoun error...ignore it.
D...Same as E. Ignore it
C...Reference error...They can refer to Investors, values and Homeowner...no clarity...ignore it pls

B..."in that their" is very unusual...please ignore it at first glance...

Hence A. Read it again, I think you wil be clear that "they" is ref correctly here.

SC is tough,

E, your choice by process of elimination, is wrong because 'it' the pronoun they have replaced they with, is singular. 'it' cannot refer to property values or large investors.

As for 'they' being ambiguous, it's not because the sentence is contrasting the effect of the prop. values effect on large investors and home owners.
