Points to ponder: Many of the incorrect answer choices of this question can be eliminated by two primary tactics :
(1)temporarily ignoring obscuring modifying phrases to focus on the underlying structure of the sentence, and
(2)looking for how changes in grammatical structure affects the meaning of the sentence.

Option A :- CORRECT
It correctly describes how current OakLodge was obsessed with cleanliness. This discovery then led these members to pass a resolution about cleanliness.

Option B :- INCORRECT
This option contains an illogical meaning issues that is hidden by numerous obscuring phrases. If we temporarily ignore all the modifying phrases, answer choice B seems to imply that the "current generation determined" the obsession of its founder. This makes no sense, making it very easy to eliminate this answer.

Option C :- INCORRECT
This option contains an elementary structure error, beginning the sentence with what appears to be a subject ("Members of the current generation") without finishing it with a clause. If we temporarily ignore the modifying phrase "having determined the esteemed founder of OakLodge to be obsessed with cleanliness" the sentence seems to read, "Members of the current generation....., they recently passed a resolution.."The opening phrase in answer choice C does not seem to have a legal function in the sentence. C can be eliminated.

Option D :- INCORRECT
This option contains several errors in meaning. First, with the phrase "caused by "and can only modify nouns. The closest noun "due to" can modify the pronoun "they", but the current generational members were not "cased by "the founder's obsession with cleanliness. This makes no sense, Answer choice D also contains a clear meaning issue due to the phrase cleanliness as determined by members of the current generation." It is illogical to say that the founder of OakLodge was somehow obsessed with how a later generation determined cleanliness.

Option E :- INCORRECT
Answer choice E also contains errors in meaning. By temporarily ignoring obscuring modifying phrases, we can see that E says "To have determined X....members of current generation Y." But the current generation clearly wouldn't pass a resolution, in order to determine that the founder was obsessed with cleanliness.
