Isn't 'is' after but repetitive? I understand this is the case with every option though. Confused!

No, because then you would be saying that man actual corrupts society, as opposed to saying man is negatively influenced by society as is intended.

If is is omitted from the OA, a reader might construe the following meaning:
Man is good only when...corrupted by society.
Not the intended meaning.
