I answered E

In A, i believe 'they' is confusing since they can referr to large investors too. and hence i opted for 'it'.

Also the verb matches with the part which is not underlined...

can someone throw more light on this pls....

Do keep in mind that you have to look for the BEST answer among the choices given... And A is the best

Property values (plural) need plural pronoun..

D and E are using "it" so ruled out...

In C, "they" and "their" are not clear whom they are referring to..

B is awkwardly framed sentence...

so A...

I would add that in A, the verbs *are* parallel in that they are both in the same tense.

I thought depressed property values is singular. but now I know why not.

depression of .. values/value -> singular
depressed ... value -> singular because value is singular
depressed ... values -> plural because values is plural

Now coming back to question,
I still can't support A :( -> they can refer to investors too... :(

Looking for expert help..
