Choice A
B talks about foods being proved.. Sounds illogical
C uses the wrong verb..have
D and E appear to indicate that the studies are sure that refraining from eating certain foods can prevent blockage. It only indicates a possibility. So would/could is a better choice

Didnt you read this at all, "Please support your pick with explanation!"

Option A is wrong because "Consumption of any particular foods" requires singular verb "reverses", but option A has plural verb "reverse".
Option D has the same error.
Option C also has SV agreement error. Verb should be "has been" not "have been". So wrong.
Option B is a run-on sentence. "Having been..." is acting as a gerund. So the Phrase before comma has no verb, but after the comma, we have independent clause. So option B is wrong.

IMO: E
A is wrong bcuz of two reasons 1) foods is not correct in the first line
2) 'could' at the end of underlined portion is quite strange.. the sentence talks in simple present and also point out a study finding which can be a fact ==> can is better choice
