E : converys the meaning that the home featured... & not the festivals.

A is completely wrong, I believe, you can not join two sentences with a coma, those should be separated eitherer by a comma or a semi colon.
what about D...?
I think D looks right, with all rules of grammer right, albeit with a lousy sentence correction.
