Because the economic cycle in the United States changes little during its twenty year interval between recessing, it is fairly easy for analyst to predict analogous trends in the stock market.

a) between recessing
b) of recessing
c) between its recessions
d) of it recessions
e) as it recesses

"between" is correct here because the key word used is "interval". Interval indicates a beginning and an ending, which requires the modifier "between" to indicate that something is "during" that period in "between" the interval (hope that made sense lol)
