Hi bharath2787,

This SC requires some specific grammar rules:

1) A valid comparison: "Skinner" (a person) is the first part of the comparison, so the second part also needs to be a person.

2) Comparisons include Parallelism, so the verbs need to match. The first verb is "did"; the second verb needs to be the same type of verb (in this case, "conducted")

3) Proper Pronoun: Watson is a singular person, so the pronoun has to match (he/she, him/her, his/hers)

4) Style Rules: Active Voice. In most SCs, the subject has to come before the action ("his peers questioned the ethics", NOT "the ethics were questioned by his peers")

With these rules, you can select the correct answer.

I used POE here

A-wrong usage of had been conducting, does not match the previous usage of "did".
Usage of had conducted seems redundant here, when conducted itself gives the meaning of past tense. C and E are out.

Between B and D

D-The usage of when.When is usually used as close as possible to some time period, in this case 1950's. So it is wrong

B-What struck me here was "before". He did this before anyone could comment/object.

I have a question though!Which one of the following can be/is correct usage?

Suppose"As did Skinner, so too did Watson"

"As did Skinner, Watson too". What is the difference in the above 2 phrases?
You can, for example never foretell what any one man will do, but you can say with precision what an average number will be up to!
