As soon as Margo is done filming movies, she usually drives to the beach. Margo is a comedian, she drives a Buick, and the beach is a long strip of sand surrounding the lagoon.


(A) As soon as Margo, a comedian, is done filming movies, she usually drives to the beach in a Buick, a long strip of sand surrounding the lagoon.

(B) A comedian usually drives to the beach, named Margo, the long strip of sand surrounding the lagoon, in a Buick, when she is done filming movies.

(C) A comedian by the name of Margo usually drives to the beach, the long strip of sand surrounding the lagoon, after filming movies in a Buick.

(D) As soon as the comedian Margo is done filming movies, she usually drives in a Buick to the beach, which is her car, a long strip of sand surrounding the lagoon.

(E) As soon as the comedian Margo is done filming movies, she usually drives her car, a Buick, to the beach, a long strip of sand surrounding the lagoon.

E is the correct answer. All others distort the meaning of the sentence, either suggesting that the car is a long strip of sand or that the beach ins Buick, etc etc.

E correctly places the modifiers at the right places, i.e., car with Buick and beach with long strip of sand.
