Here it says : Keep in mind also that "amount of" and "number of" are not interchangeable.
"Amount of" is used for nouns that cannot be counted, while "number of" is used for countable nouns.
So my question is that we do not say "The Amount of stars in the sky" rather we say "The number of stars in the sky"
Please clarify. Am I wrong or is this some kind of special case?
