Lacking information about proper weight management, people tend to overestimate the importance of exercise, such as interval-sprints, that are cardiovascular and can increase heart rate and metabolism and underestimate that of isometric exercise, such as squat-thrusts.

(C) exercise, such as interval-sprints, that is cardiovascular and can increase heart rate and metabolism and underestimate it when it is

IMO E.

The issue tests the parallelism. 'cardiovascular exercise' is parallel to 'isometric exercise'.
And also, ' cardiovascular exercise, such as interval-sprints' matches the pattern of 'isometric exercise, such as squat-thrusts'

three ANDs in A, and two ITs in B,C,D make the respective sentences awkward.
